AI interview assistant

Interview guidance that starts with your evidence.

Lyrebird is a macOS interview-preparation and permitted coaching assistant. It listens for a question, checks the context you supplied, and suggests a concise place to begin without inventing experience.

Grounded responseStart with the decision you can support.

Then explain the tradeoff, result, and what you learned—in language that still sounds like you.

macOS first evidence-grounded user-controlled permitted use only

An AI interview assistant is most useful when it reduces the blank space after a difficult question. It should not replace your judgment or manufacture a polished history you never lived. Lyrebird is designed around that distinction.

Before a practice session, you provide the role, résumé, and project evidence you want the app to use. During the session, Lyrebird detects questions and shapes an opening around that material. Evidence labels distinguish launched work from internal, staged, planned, or otherwise limited work.

What a grounded assistant does

A generic answer generator can produce fluent language that has little connection to the candidate. A grounded assistant treats your evidence as a boundary. If a result or responsibility is not supported, it should not quietly appear in the suggestion.

Lyrebird organizes the response around the question type and the answer length you select. Behavioral questions can use a conversational or STAR-shaped structure. Technical questions can lead with a decision and tradeoff. System-design prompts can move from requirements to constraints and architecture.

  • Detect the current question.
  • Use the role and evidence you supplied.
  • Offer a concise, speakable opening.
  • Keep unsupported claims out of the response.
  • Leave the final answer and judgment with you.

Preparation first, permitted assistance second

Lyrebird is valuable as a practice tool even when live assistance is not allowed. You can paste or speak mock questions, try different answer shapes, and discover where your evidence bank is incomplete.

For a real interview, use the product only when the employer, school, interviewer, or platform permits outside assistance. Lyrebird does not promise invisibility or evasion from screen sharing, cameras, monitoring, or proctoring.

What the current beta includes

The current product is a controlled macOS beta with a browser demonstration. It includes streaming transcription, question detection, evidence-aware response generation, response-length controls, and a compact desktop overlay.

Production billing is not enabled. Any prices shown in the demo describe the current Stripe sandbox configuration and are not live charges.

Questions, answered plainly.

Does Lyrebird answer questions for me?

It suggests an opening and supporting structure. You remain responsible for checking the suggestion and speaking only to experience you actually have.

Can I use it during any interview?

No. Live assistance must be allowed by the relevant employer, school, interviewer, or platform. Lyrebird is always available for mock interviews and preparation.

Does it record raw audio?

The current app streams selected audio for transcription and does not record raw audio. Transcript and answer text remain in current-session memory by default.

Bring the experience. Find the words.
